This group was founded 19 years ago by a few Church members who loved flowers and enjoyed arranging them. We meet on the first Monday of every month, starting in February. Because our Church premises are very well used, sometimes we work in the sun lounge, and on other occasions, we go into the Session Room. We have been fortunate over the years in having various members with specific skills. I remember some excellent "lessons" from Julie Ann, who has won international competitions. She taught us so many new techniques in the art of Flower Arranging, and gave us an insight into a more modern approach. Each month a group member demonstrates a particular style. For example, we have had Isobel showing us how to "do" a Hogarth curve; Ann offered a long table decoration; Jean did a wonderful basket, complete with bow. Marion's long spiky leaves, were looped round and stapled, with a single line of flowers and were spectacular.
